Adding to its long line of special edition variants of existing cars, Ferrari has announced a limited edition F12 Berlinetta Tour de France 64 that pays homage to the Ferrari 250GTO that was raced in 1964. The car is based on the Tour de France 250GTO that Lucien Bianchi and Georges Berger drove to victory in 1964.
The special color, code names Argento Auteil has been made specifically for the F12 special edition. The F12 Berlinetta also comes with a triple layer cross bonnet stripe which is a modern take on the original Modena yellow used by Ecurie Francochamps on his race cars. The car also comes with a special one-off interior that harks back to the vintage racers from the 60s. This includes a set of tobacco colored Mahagoni leather seats combined with a set of SuperFabric floor mats. The interior also comes with side panels and boot trim wrapped in a material called Mycro Prestige which is a soft touch, water repellent and breathable fabric. The dashboard also comes finished in the same yellow exterior stripe detailing on the trim and the door handles.
Mechanically, the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta comes equipped with a 6.2-litre V12, front mounted engine that makes 740PS of peak power and 690Nm of peak torque. The Ferrari F12 can go from 0-100kmph in only 3.1-seconds and can attain over 350kmph. The Ferrari F12 gets a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox combined with paddle shifters.
